A letter from the ENFL Division Chair, David Heldebrant

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as the ENFL 2019 Chair.   The Executive Committee and I are
looking forward to another big year in. We  aim  to  further  our  mission  to  “Promote  and
advance  energy- related research, development, and education to address the world’s energy and
chemical challenges.”
As you know, the ACS is the largest scientific professional society in America. We pride ourselves
on our professional and personal interest and support of each other and our communities.  I want to
recognize and thank last year’s officers, committee members and volunteers for
generously donating their time and talents that made last year a great success!  The officers of
this division are here to support the ACS, but more importantly, you – our members.  So please,
tell us if there are any programs, activities or opportunities you would like the division to
pursue.

Getting involved with ENFL is easier than you think, and quite rewarding.  We encourage those who
are interested to email any member of the Executive Committee or stop by during our lunch social on
Monday, April 1st at 11:30am at the West Hall E2 at the Orange County Convention Center.
I’m looking forward to another great year and hope to see you at one of our events in 2019!  Don’t
forget to attend the ENFL Spring 2019 Dinner in Orlando, which will be held Tuesday evening at Café
Tu Tu Tango. Get your tickets before they sell out!
Kind regards,
Dave Heldebrant
