David Heldebrant

David Heldebrant (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) has been selected as the 2025 Distinguished Service Award recipient, in recognition of over 10 years of dedicated service to the division.

David has been a long-time member of ENFL, serving as both Chair (2019) and Program Chair (2017). He has organized numerous symposia, delivered insightful presentations, and provided valuable guidance during governance meetings. David is known for his commitment to mentoring early-career professionals—actively volunteering for roles on the Executive Committee and encouraging new members to engage and grow their networks.

He also participated in the ENFL Strategic Meetings to commit to strategy and growth of the division as well as contributed significantly to the development of language for the ENFL handbook and program criteria—efforts that have enhanced the division’s impact and service to its members. The award will be presented at the ACS Spring Meeting 2026
