Professor Brian Tackett, the Robert and Sally Weist Assistant Professor of Chemical
Engineering at Purdue University, has been recognised with the 2025 ACS Spring Energy
and Fuels Division R. A. Glenn Award for the most innovative paper at the meeting. He
directs research on electrocatalytic routes for transforming CO₂ and light hydrocarbons into
value-added fuels and chemicals, employing surface-sensitive spectroscopy and highthroughput
flow reactors. Since joining Purdue University in 2021, he has published in
leading journals such as Nature Catalysis, Accounts of Chemical Research, and ACS
Catalysis, advancing electron-driven pathways toward a circular carbon economy.
